Navodya Group Pvt. Ltd. : ER. Grout is a premium polymer-modified cementitious tile joint filler designed to fill and seal gaps between ceramic, vitrified, porcelain, and natural stone tiles on floors and walls.
What is ER Grout and How Does It Protect Tiled Surfaces?
ER Grout is a precision-blended dry powder comprising fine graded aggregates, premium white or grey cements, active hydrophobic additives, and flexible polymers. Mixed with water, it forms a smooth paste that easily packs deep into tile joints without slumping.
Once cured, ER Grout forms a dense, non-shrinking, and water-repellent seal. It blocks water, dirt, and cleaning chemicals from seeping beneath tiles, preventing tile hollow sounds, debonding, and dark mildew growth in joint crevices.
Step-by-Step Grouting Guide
Proper joint preparation and clean application are essential for durable, color-fast tile joints.
- Wait Time: Allow tile adhesive or mortar bed to cure for at least 24 hours before grouting.
- Joint Cleaning: Scrape out excess adhesive, dust, and debris from joints. Ensure joints are clean and dry.
- Mixing: Mix ER Grout with clean water (approx. 28-30% by weight) to a uniform, lump-free paste. Allow to stand for 3 minutes, then remix.
- Diagonal Application: Pack the grout firmly into the joints using a rubber grout float held at a 45-degree angle to the tile surface.
- Sponge Cleanup: After 15 to 20 minutes (when grout becomes firm), wipe the tile face with a damp sponge in circular motions to clean excess material.
Crack & Shrinkage Resistant
Specialized polymers absorb minor thermal movements between tiles, preventing unsightly cracking and crumbling.
Anti-Fungal & Water Repellent
Hydrophobic agents keep joints dry and clean, resisting black mold, fungus, and staining in wet shower areas.
Frequently Asked Questions About Grout
Our standard formulation is optimized for joint widths from 1 mm up to 6 mm, providing smooth, dense, non-cracking joints across ceramic and vitrified tiles.
Yes. It contains water-repellent polymers that resist water penetration, making it ideal for bathroom floors, shower stalls, kitchen backsplashes, and balconies.
Allow at least 24 hours of curing before allowing light foot traffic. Full chemical and stain resistance develops after 7 days.
A light grout haze is normal after sponging. Once dry (after 2-3 hours), buff the tile face with a clean, dry microfiber cloth. For stubborn haze, use ER Tiles Cleaner.
Our grouts use UV-stable, high-grade pigments and mineral binders that resist fading, yellowing, and degradation from household floor cleaners.
