Navodya Group Pvt. Ltd. : ER. Wall Putty is a premium white polymer and mineral-based base coat formulated to create smooth, even, and pinhole-free surfaces on interior and exterior plastered walls and ceilings before painting.

What is ER Wall Putty and How Does It Protect Walls?

ER Wall Putty is an engineered dry powder blend of high-purity white minerals, selected binders, and specialized redispersible polymers. Mixed with clean water on site, it produces a buttery, workable paste that easily fills hairline plaster cracks, surface undulations, and micro-cavities.

It forms an exceptionally strong mechanical bond with cementitious substrates. Because of its water-resistant and breathable properties, it resists flaking, peeling, and moisture blistering, while its bright white finish significantly enhances topcoat paint richness and coverage mileage.

Surface Preparation & Application Steps

Achieving a flawless, mirror-smooth wall finish requires thorough surface preparation and proper two-coat application.

  • Surface Cleaning: Remove loose plaster, dust, grease, efflorescence, and old flaking paint using a wire brush or sandpaper.
  • Pre-Wetting: Lightly moisten the wall with clean water before application to prevent premature moisture absorption.
  • Mixing: Gradually add ER Wall Putty to clean water (approx. 35-40% by weight) and mix thoroughly for 5-7 minutes into a lump-free paste.
  • First Coat: Apply the first coat evenly with a putty blade or trowel in an upward direction, maintaining a thickness of 1.0 to 1.5 mm.
  • Second Coat & Sanding: Allow the first coat to dry for 4-6 hours, apply a thin second coat (approx. 0.5-1.0 mm), dry overnight, and lightly sand with 300+ grit paper.

High Paint Mileage

Creates a non-absorbent, super-white substrate that reduces primer and paint consumption by up to 25%.

Eco-Friendly & Low VOC

Formulated with non-toxic, zero-VOC natural mineral fillers, ensuring safe indoor air quality during and after application.

Frequently Asked Questions About Wall Putty

We recommend a two-coat system. The first coat fills plaster imperfections and levels the substrate (1.0-1.5 mm), while the second coat provides a razor-smooth, uniform surface (0.5-1.0 mm).

Plastered surfaces must be allowed to cure completely for at least 21 to 28 days before applying wall putty. Applying putty over green, uncured plaster can trap moisture and cause flaking.

No primer is needed prior to putty application on cured plaster. Simply moisten the clean wall with water. However, applying an acrylic primer over the sanded, cured putty before painting is recommended.

Yes. ER Wall Putty is polymer-modified to withstand normal outdoor humidity and thermal expansion, though for extreme external exposure we recommend our heavy-duty exterior finishing systems.

Once mixed with water, the paste should be consumed within 2 to 2.5 hours. Prepare only as much material as can be comfortably applied within this working window.
